Our story

A campus home for Muslim students

MSiS began as a student initiative to give Muslim students at UiS a supportive environment. Today we work for faith-informed student life through programmes, advocacy and collaboration.

Purpose and principles

Our aim is to support Muslim students spiritually, academically and socially — and to build bridges of understanding across the whole student community.

What we do

Three pillars

Everything we do is rooted in faith, representation and dialogue.

Faith and belonging

Space to explore Islamic values together, rooted in mercy.

The student voice

We represent Muslim perspectives in the processes of UiS, StOr and SiS.

Shared learning

Dialogues and study groups that invite everyone into authentic conversation.

Constitution at a glance

A collaborative approach
